Eski Galatasaray Adasi Istanbul Turkey

restaurants

It's one of Europe's chicest beach club eateries despite that fact that there's actually no beach at all. Known as Suada, it's a virtual private island and all-white floating landmark home to three restaurants, beach club and nightclub off the shores of Bosporus accessed by ferry service and private yacht. A beacon of chic new Istanbul society, during summer months the location is ground zero for the city's fashion and entertainment set who descend on its flagship Suda Kebap eatery for afternoon lunches and outdoor dinners. The restaurant incorporates the pizazz the original Bodrum hotspot but with with walls of glass and designer urban decor, outdoor bar and summer nightlife line-up that may have you wishing there was a hotel on this floating island.

The Food

By day Suada is ruled by its pool scene as guests with 8-pack abs nosh on platters of sushi, sashimi and seafood carpaccio. More formal lunches are taken indoors or on the all-white dining terrace where seafood salads, grilled meat platters and pasta dishes satiate well-heeled tourists and runaway businessmen. By night the restaurant gets a fancier theme with white tablecloths and market menu that begins with raw fish platters, oyster shooters or grilled octopus and calamari dishes. Main course is an assortment of lobster, grilled meats and seafood specials served with health and flavor in mind.

Last Word

Beach club eatery offers all-day dining destination with 360-degree views and beach club scene off the shores of Istanbul’s Bosporus.
